Mothers Day

Seeing as I am currently completely bored, Chris being knocked the FUCK OUT on the couch and the kidlets all sleeping, (except Joey who comes down periodically to tell me Yu-Gi-Oh is on yet again and he hates Yu-Gi-Oh), I guess I will post. Mothers day started with the kids coming in to find Chris at 9am as planned, but Chris was MIA. Where was my darling husband this beautiful Sunday morn? In the bathroom, dry heaving from the excessive drinking the previous evening. Heaving over, he and the kids left to get my requested breakfast of egg mcmuffin with hash browns. After breakfast they showered me with perfect little gifts, handmade cards, store-bought cards, coupon booklets good for room-cleanings and such, homemade scented flowers, notepads. These things really truly are a mother's treasure, things our children put their heart and energy into, thinking the whole time of the smile it will put on your face, which inevitably it will. And that smile will return each time you see it. Then I received the card, note and treasure from my hung over hubby. Money to spend as I saw fit, which I did today. (More on that later). After we all got ready we headed out to the park to meet Kat and her family and Molly, Chris' mom. We had a good time there at the park, riding bikes, train rides, ball, etc. We came home, watched National Treasure and then got ready for bed. Today I went to the mall to spend all that momma money. I bought a bunch of make-up, of course, and some clothes. Today has a been a pretty good day, if wholly uneventful.
